In a nutshell

Whether you’re an avid devourer of Spanish tapas or the Spanish language, this enlightening experience is sure to hit the spot. Led by a Spain-obsessed team of two, the class will not only have you creating tasty tapas dishes, it will also equip you with the language skills needed to go out and buy the ingredients in a Spanish store. Your hosts will guide you through preparing three of the country’s best-loved tapas dishes: tortilla de patatas (Spanish omelette), gazpacho (a cold, tomato-based soup) and gambas al ajillo (garlic flavoured shrimp).

Before you get cooking, you’ll learn some handy words and phrases to use in the kitchen, from the ingredients you’re going to use to the utensils you’ll need to prepare them with. Plus, you’ll also pick up a few expressions to try out in the local grocery store when you finally do get to take that long overdue holiday in Spain. Then your hosts will walk you through the cooking process step by step, until you have three authentic homemade tapas dishes to savour – buen provecho!
