It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but for many millions of people there’s nothing that hits the spot quite like this hot, herbal and most gratifying drink. In this masterclass experience, you’ll be walked through the true roots of tea, its deep complexity and six specific varieties: white, green, yellow, black, oolong and post-fermented tea.

Your host for the experience will explain how the very best tea – in a way not dissimilar to wine – is the result of meticulously curated terroirs, grown from the right kind of plant, in the right kind of climate, then blended to perfection.

About the host

Your host, Don Mei, is the founder of Mei Leaf tea in London – winner of Time Out’s Most Loved Shop in London award. For over 15 years, Don has been curating his own collection of tea sourced directly from producers in the Far East. Today, equipped with extensive knowledge in tea production and a passion for tea-making cultures across the world, Don shares his expert insights through virtual tea masterclasses, and now with Culture Trip readers, too.

  1. OUR SERVICES

1.1 Please carefully review the description of the experience before you book to ensure you meet any requirements. If you do not meet any specified requirements, such as minimum age, we shall be entitled to refuse your access to the experience.

1.2 The price for the experience is included in the booking process and is inclusive of VAT. Any other costs incurred by you in attending the experience shall be solely borne by you.

1.3 These terms apply from the time you make your booking until (and including) the date you attend the experience.

1.4 Purchase of a ticket means you consent to filming, photography and sound recording which may include you as a participant, unless expressly stated otherwise.

  1. YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL

2.1 If you cancel more than 24 hours before the experience, you will get a 100% refund. However, if you cancel within 24 hours of the experience, the experience cost is non-refundable.

3.1 We may immediately cancel your right to attend and/or remove you from the experience at any time: (a) if you breach any of these terms (although for non-serious breaches we will first give you the opportunity to put things right); (b) if you breach any applicable laws, rules and regulations; and/or (c) you misuse or abuse the services provided at the experience, including by behaving in an offensive or disorderly manner.

  1. OUR RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE SUFFERED BY YOU

4.1 To the extent permitted by applicable laws, the experience is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law but nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or limit any warranty or liability which may not be lawfully excluded or limited in your country of residence (if any).

4.2  We accept no responsibility for any of your personal property brought to the experience.

  1. OTHER IMPORTANT TERMS

5.1 This contract is between you and us and no other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms.

5.2 Each of the paragraphs of these terms operates separately.  If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining clauses will remain in full force and effect.

5.3 These terms are governed by English law but you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident.

5.4 You can bring legal proceedings in respect of these terms in the English courts. However, as a consumer you can bring legal proceedings in respect of these terms in a court with jurisdiction according to the laws of your country of residence.
